Ingredients
❤️ 3 ripe bananas (sliced)
❤️ 2 cups milk
❤️ 2 eggs (separated)
❤️ ½ cup sugar
❤️ 2 tbsp cornstarch
❤️ 1 tsp vanilla essence
❤️ 1 pack vanilla wafers / biscuit
❤️ Pinch of salt
Instructions
Make the custard:
In a bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, egg yolks, and milk.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Layer:
In a dish, place a layer of wafers, then banana slices, then warm custard.
Repeat layers, ending with custard.
Egg white topping (optional meringue):
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Spread on top and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden.
Cool & chill before serving.
